At 4:45 pm in the Ben Lomond market we observed a baby and a little girl, between the age of four to six years old left unattended in a HOT maroon & grey Subaru station wagon. The driver had left this crying 6-9 month old and another child to go into the market. We were there for 15 minutes (approx). We noticed that this person was casually engaged in a conversation with another shopper when we entered the store. It was only when we left to go to our car and heard a baby crying that we made the connection between the woman in the store and what she left in the car . As we took notice of the baby crying she came out and briskly left the market parking lot, of course with the little girl not in her car seat. When I checked the outside temperature with my cars display, it indicated 95 degrees. This a dangerous situation. She needs to stop this and we need to pay attention at the temperature rises.
